Lots of Friends - Week of Aug. 4th

Cameron's newest favorite snack to eat is Nilla Wafers-
he loves the taste and eats them in little pieces. He happily smiles and 'says' hmmmm' when he eats them, which translates into 'yummy!' Cam was Mr. Social this week... on Thursday afternoon, he ventured up to Stony Lake with Jane & Grandma to visit close family friends, known as the second family. Cameron met Jimmy (a.k.a. Umpy), Barb, Sarah, & Matt. He easily went to them since he they introduced the tasty Nilla's!

On Friday & Saturday, Chris, Jane & Cam hung out with the Cronk family at the cottage. They had lots of fun playing on the beach. Cam's parents look forward to helping to prepare Hannah for babysitting in a couple of years.
Next year, the Cronk's youngest, Thomas, will have team up with Cameron to play with the girls.

Saturday was a special evening as Chris & Jane celebrated their 5-year wedding anniversary. Lucky Cameron stayed at the cottage to play with his nanny & cousin, Annie. Thanks Annie!!
On Sunday, Cameron met lots of new cousins at Aunt Mary's retirement party! It was a long drive home and after all of that activity, Cam slept 10 hours... yeah!

VROOM - Week of July 28th

Cameron has increased his sound vocabulary as Chris & Jane try to remember all of the new things, including a single "da" which was expressed very clearly.

This week Cameron hung out his babysitter, Sarah, twice and he was a happy camper!

The weekend included another beach trip for Cameron and Chris decided to get his toes wet in Lake Michigan. Cameron wasn't too keen on the chillier water and is definitely hoping the next time in feels a little more like his bath.

On Saturday, Cameron met a very good friend of Chris & Jane's, 'Auntie' Leslie, who drove up from Indiana with JB. Leslie brought Cam an assortment of Indianapolis Colts sports balls to play with. Thanks Leslie! His favorite appeared to be the softball, as it made him giggle like crazy.

Cameron also giggles at funny new words... Grandma said "vroom, vroom" and Cam couldn't stop giggling over that sound.

Bumbo Chair - Week of July 21st

Although summer is flying by much too quickly, Cameron was able to enjoy the first part of the week at the lake with Jane.

Chris welcomed them home Tuesday night and Cam showed off his new trick of trying to grab his spoon while he's being fed. Apparently, he doesn't think that his parents can feed him fast enough!

Jane had to spend two nights in Chicago for work, so Grandma stayed over one night to help out- thanks so much, Grandma!! After all of the traveling, it was fun to be home for the weekend and have the family together.

Cameron has been working on sitting up more and he now has a Bumbo which supports him, but still allows him to build his upper body strength.

Over the weekend, he played in the grass with Chris and went out to dinner with his parents on Saturday- he most certainly was the best-behaved kid in the restaurant...not that anyone is biased...

1st Bonfire - Week of July 14th

For those of you who are regular Cameron bloggers, our apologies...this late entry was due to limited internet access.

It was a busy week for Cameron and his family as they welcomed relatives at the Lake Michigan cottage and spent quality time with Grandma & Grandpa Miller.
Cam seems to be getting used to everyone and had sweet smiles for cousin Steff and all of the Haroldson fam.
This week marked another first for Cameron- attending a beach bonfire and watching his first real fireworks! Although the s'mores looked very tasty, his parents decided he should wait a bit before trying that tasty treat.
Sunday was a very special day for 11-month old Cameron. On July 20th, Cameron Jackson was baptized on the beach of the Lake Michigan cottage, on the very spot where Chris & Jane were married just 5 years ago. He is pictured here with Chris & Jane's flower girl, Hannah.

All of Cam's relatives, his godparents, Chris & Joanne and many close friends were present for this memorable event. Cameron made his parents very proud and he didn't even cry once. It was such a perfect day!

Grandma Suzanne - Week of July 7th

The week started with Cameron's parents wondering if he was nocturnal, since he was waking up at least three times every night. However, it turns out, the drooling boy is teething. (Everything goes in his mouth!) He had a surprise visit to the doctor on Friday to be sure he didn't have an ear infection, so Cam got an unscheduled weigh in: 19.5 lbs! Such a big boy!

The weekend for very busy for Cam. He met his Grandma Suzanne and Uncle Ulysses for the very first time on Saturday. Cameron showed off his tummy time skills and rolling. Grandma Suzanne made him a special "ABC" quilt. His giggle is everyone's favorite. Chris & Jane are amazed at the little things he will find funny.

Sunday was a fun-filled day at the family cottage so lucky Cameron had two Grandmas to play with and capture his attention.

Cam can now sit on the couch with the cushion behind him. He certainly acts like he wants to crawl, but just doesn't quite have all of those moves down yet.
Jane is on vacation next week for some beach time with Cam and family!!

Happy 4th of July - Week of June 30th

Cameron's 1st Fourth did not include a fireworks display, but he did spend it with his grandparents, cousins and Aunt & Uncle. The noise did not seem to bother him, but it was a little too buggy to enjoy the lights. However, Cam did have some quality bonding time with cousin, Megan.

On Saturday, Cam met some very special people that Jane used to babysit for- her Stony Lake family. Cameron took a special liking to Molly, who seemed to captivate him with her smile. He also met Katie, Ben, Julie, 'Uncle Bud & Aunt Cath' as well as many others.

The family had a little early celebration for Chris' bday which included Jane's niece, Steff, and Cam had a little taste of chocolate ice cream- yum, yum!

Sunday included a special treat- visiting on the beach with his newest cousin Maya! Maya's mom, Lisa, purchased a special beach cabana for the kids- these cousins are totally stylin! Maya's big brother, Harper, joined in the beach fun as well.

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July holiday!!

Summer Time - Week of June 23rd

Summer is in full force and Cameron had a little backyard time with Chris over the weekend. The grass seemed to tickle his toes a bit, but it already seems that he will have a great love of the outdoors, just like his parents.

It was a busy weekend for the Weatherfords. Friday evening included a dinner & homemade ice cream tasting contest with 2 neighborhood families. Cameron was watching all of the neighborhood kids running around and playing, knowing that someday he'll join in the festivities. Cam also had fun attending a going away party for friends Laurie and Randy. As you can see, Cam's not too happy in this picture, but that's because a nasty mosquito is trying to have him for dinner!

After the party, Chris & Jane took Cameron to visit with his godparents, Chris & Jo. In this picture, Cam's godfather is giving him a "high 5." Cam had lots of fun looking at all of the toys his future best friend, Will, has received. Will is due to enter this world in early September. It was quite funny to see Katie the cat, react to Cameron.
On Sunday, Cam's babysitter, Sarah, came over to hang out with him while Chris & Jane went on a movie date. Thanks Sarah!!

Puff...Yummy! - Week of June 16th

This week included a couple of new eating adventures for Cameron. First, he tried Gerber Graduate Puffs for the first time. If you've never seen these, they look similar to a Lucky Charms piece of cereal (not the blue diamonds or purple horseshoes). The puffs dissolve easily and they're supposed to help in the process of switching to more solid foods. Cam wasn't quite sure what to do with the puff at first, but he seems to like them.

Over the weekend, Chris & Jane once again celebrated Jane's birthday with a special cake from her favorite bakery (Ryke's!), compliments of Grandma Mary Ellen. Chris thought Cameron might like a little itsy, bitsy taste of ice cream.
And of course, just like his parents, he really seemed to love it!

Cam saw a beautiful Lake Michigan sunset at the family cottage and hung out with all of his cousins, aunts, uncles and Grandma & Grandpa. He even met cousin David for the first time, visiting from Texas.

For those of you trying to read what is on Cameron's shirt, it says "I TCP/IP, but mostly IP." If you're into technology like Cam's parents, then this should give you a little chuckle...
